The opening scene of "top gun maverick" starts with an L cut showing the continuition of music with the incoming scene and consists of a ground level slide movement that show the water vapours of fighter jets getting ready. Then comes a fast cut with a slider shot showing the movement of the camera following the movement of the plane in which two pilots are sitting in. There also comes a master shot showing a relation between three characters (fighter pilots) talking to each other and also shows a few soldiers behind them with their relationship.


Another slider movement with an eye level shot comes as it shows the the stability of the camera in one position and showing the movement of another fighter jet. Then a fast cut with a big close up comes as it shows the windshield of the jet but also the the character from head to shoulders. Music is the Non-digetic sound and the Digetic sound in the opening scene of "top gun maverick" is the engine of the fighter jets coming in the scene. With another fast cut comes a mid close up that is behind the character showing the placement of his hand movements.


Another fast cut comes with a shallow depth of field and a long shot showing the movement of the plane where the fighter jet is moving and the shot also covers the full body of an another character (soldier) showing his body movement. Another fast cut with a close up shot comes showing an another character working with the fighter jet's tyre with another shallow depth of field. An extreme close up comes to show the rotating movement of a characters hand and leads to another big-close up of an another character working on one of the fighter jets which produces an another shallow depth of field.


Next comes a ground level shot that shows an object that is being placed beneath a fighter jet. After a few more fast cuts comes a side ways tracking shot showing a subject fast movement. Another closeup with another shallow depth of field comes showing the hand gestures of the subject and another fast cut with a fast motion crane up movement comes showing the understanding between two of those subjects.


Another close up comes showing the engine of a fighter jet getting ready. Then comes an another big-close up showing a pilot getting ready. After multiple fast cuts, comes a cut where the plane takes off. Chiaroscuro lighting is being used to show subjects in shadows. Multiple fast cuts are coming with a few showing more shallow depth of field with more water vapours of the fighter jet's engine. Then comes the continuity of editing showing another plane talking of and suddenly leading to an establishing shot before they plane landing. This scene also shows consists of an action match cut showing that there plane is flying. The misce-en-scene in the
